Margaret Debranski, Matthew Kelhart married in Historic St. Luke’s Church

Margaret Michael Debranski and Matthew Joseph Kelhart were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003, in Historic Saint Luke’s Church, Smithfield. The Reverend Forrest Guthrie officiated the double-ring ceremony.

Music was provided by the St. James String Quartet. A buffet dinner and dance reception followed at The Smithfield Center, Smithfield with music provided by The Rhythm Kings.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Michael John Debranski of Suffolk.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Joseph Anthony Costa of Perkasie, Pa., and Mr. Joseph Andrew Kelhart of Bethlehem, Pa.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Vanderslice Beamon of Suffolk, and Mrs. Michael Debranski of Woodstock, Ga., and the late Mr. Debranski.

Mr. Kelhart is the grandson of Mrs. William Shuryn of Allentown, Pa, and the late Mr. Shuryn, and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew John Kelhart of Allentown.

The maid of honor was Mary Donnan Debranski, sister of the bride of Atlanta, Ga.

Bridesmaids were: Mary Garland Frasier of Little Rock, Ark., and Melissa Marie Wintermute, Alexandria, both cousins of the bride; Stephanie Kelhart Fardo, of Pittsburgh, Pa., sister of the groom; Virginia Harry Basnett of Moyock, N.C., Allison Marie Howard of Leesburg; Rebecca Catherine Kessler of Newtown Square, Pa.; Susana Laura Leveson of Washington, D.C.; and Susan Sevier Buffington of Roswell, Ga.

Andrew William Kelhart, brother of the groom, of Perkasie, Pa, was the best man.

Groomsmen were: Peter Chancellor Wintermute of Alexandria, cousin of the bride; Anthony Ross Halm of Allentown, cousin of the groom; Jason Lawrence Fern of Jackson, N.J., uncle of the groom; Andrew Robert Klinger of Bethlehem; and David Lambret Gardner of Alexandria.

The reader was Laura Christine Gill.

Mistresses of Ceremony were Mrs. William Norris Owen and Mrs. David Heber Slack.

Following a honeymoon to Turks and Caicos, the couple now resides in Alexandria.
