Lauren Doughtie shot a 39 for the medalist honor as Nansemond-Suffolk Academy defeated Christchurch 179-183 in a nine-hole match at the Tides Inn-Golden Eagle course. Katie Murphy was second with a 45, followed by Andy Rivenbark and LeCardi Johnson. The Saints will visit Norfolk Academy on Wednesday.

Colts pull two sweeps over the weekend

The Suffolk Colts of the 13U SYAA league went 4-0 this past weekend, upping their overall record to 13-2. The team defeated the Hampton Roads Hurricanes 6-9, 3-2 on Saturday, then beat the Western Branch Bruins 2-13, 1-9.
