Joe Vidarte scored six goals as Nansemond-Suffolk Academy bounced back from Monday’s loss to Highland with a 19-8 defeat of visiting Steward on Tuesday.

Bobby Flintoff, Willis Taylor and Kyle Jett all scored three goals for NSA, and Adam Nash had two, with goalkeeper Sam Markham knocking away 10 saves. The Saints and their female counterparts play their first TCIS game at home against Catholic on Thursday.

Suffolk veteran cagers to hit Lakeland’s courts April 23

The second annual Lakeland vs. Nansemond River alumni basketball game will be played April 23 at Lakeland. The women’s game will begin at 6 p.m., and the men at 8 p.m. Last year’s game raised over $800 for the American Cancer Association. For more information, call Kay Kinsey at 925-5530
