Hundreds of folks taking advantage of the warm weather are expected to converge on Driver for this weekend’s Spring Fling.
Sponsored by the Driver Retail Merchants Association, the event is designed to draw shoppers and visitors to the small northern Suffolk village for a few hours of fun – and hopefully – shopping.
Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Everyone will find something interesting at the Spring Fling, including craft vendors, a car show, children’s activities and art exhibits, said Phyllis Murphy, proprietor of Harmony House Antiques.
Murphy, the craft show organizer, said nearly 50 vendors will be showcasing their works: gourmet dog treats, quilts, beaded jewelry, floral arrangements, primitive art, wooden items, handbags, candles, lotions and the like.
&uot; We’ve also got a lot of things for children, including pony rides,&uot; she added.
