Shelter benefits from Holy Week collections

Churches across the city took part in &uot;Suffolk Community Holy Week&uot; services prior to Easter with the celebration held in New Mt. Joy Family Worship Center. All donations during that time were donated to the Genieve Shelter for Battered and Abused Women. The Rev. Skip Irby (l-r) and the Rev. Felton Whitfield presented a $1,000 check to the shelter’s director, Val Livingston, and her assistant Murlersa Montgomery.
