Raydell Velentine Woods, 51, of Linden Ave., Portsmouth, died Friday, April 30 in Maryview Hospital.

He was a native of Suffolk and the son of the late Myrtle S. Woods.

He was employed by Planters Peanut Co.

Survivors include his foster mother, Rosetta Haile of Portsmouth; two sister, Pinkie Mingo of Suffolk, and Judith Mohon or New York; and two brothers, Jerald Boone of Suffolk and Wallace Cross of New York.

The private memorial service will be held by immediate family.
