Scrap iron plant should not have been closed

Editor, the News-Herald:
I can’t understand the positions our city takes. Last week when our top people were over at Harbour View celebrating a new plant with new jobs, right here downtown they closed the scrap iron plant. Except for a few months, it had been open over 50 years. The City Council did not vote for this.
The city people need somewhere to put their scrap iron. I have here on my little farm 5- to 10-thousand pounds. I see it in other places.
This never should have been allowed to happen. I think that everybody connected with this should fired.
Scrap metal is a good product that should be used.
A change should be made.
