James R. Brinkley Jr., a native of Suffolk, was called into eternal life Wednesday, April 28, 2004, in his home in Hamilton, Ala. He was buried on May 1, 2004 in Hamilton.

The memorial service will held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 14, in Oxford United Methodist Church, 601 W. Washington St., Suffolk.

He was predeceased by his stepfather, Dickie Styron.

James was survived by his mother, Margaret Jones Styron; father, James R. Brinkley Sr.; one brother, Jesse Thomas Brinkley; two sisters, Myrtie Lynn Nowell and Angie Pierce; two step-brothers, John and Tracey Grimes; and two step-sisters, Kimberly Babb and Heaven Roy. James will be missed by many other loving relatives and friends.

Donations in memory of James can be made at the memorial service.
