Newport News Shipbuilding Employees’ Credit Union Monday announced the opening of its ninth office located at 1463 North Main Street in Suffolk.

The 2,450 square foot full-service financial center is located in the Suffolk Shopping Center.

&uot;We are extremely pleased to open such a convenient location to serve our members

who live in the Suffolk community, and we are excited about being an

integral part of Suffolk’s future growth,&uot; said George Dudley, Jr., president and CEO.

More than $100,000 in new capital improvements have been made to the facility.

The full-service office includes five lobby teller windows, two drive-through teller lanes and a 24-hour drive-up ATM machine.

The facility also has safe deposit boxes and will provide a wide range of financial products and services including financial brokerage services.

A total of 10 employees will staff the office.
