Mildred K. Lynch

Mildred Knox Lynch, 77, of the 2800 block of East Washington Street, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2004.
Born in North Carolina, she had retired from Obici Hospital after more than 30 years as a loving nurse in labor and delivery.
She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, the Wesley-Rawls Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women.
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Lydia Knox; her husband, Herbert Lynch; her son, James L. Lynch; three sisters, M. Lorraine Baker, Lydia Mae Worls and Helen Johnson.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Joy L. Whitt, and husband, Rodney, of Norfolk; stepson, Herbert L. &uot;Joe&uot; Lynch, and wife, JoAnn, of Carrollton; one sister, Annette Owens, and husband, Bill, of Edenton, N.C.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel by Pastor Bob Parks.
Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Harrell and Hill Funeral Home.
