R. W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory has been a resource for the community since 1885. Recently, we have expanded our staff so we can better serve you during one of life’s most difficult times.

We’d like to introduce you to Brandi R. Turner of Franklin, the newest member of our staff. Brandi was raised in Suffolk and is a 1992 graduate of Lakeland High School.

She graduated in December 2003 from John Tyler Community College in Chester, Virginia, and commencement ceremonies were held May 15.

She obtained an Associate in Applied Science with a major in funeral services.

Brandi passed her National Board Exam in November, and began her 18-month apprenticeship in January. At the completion of her apprenticeship she will sit for her State Board Exam to obtain her Funeral Service License.

Brandi is learning how to assist families with at-need and pre-need funeral arrangements under the direction of Robert N. Baker III. We are always looking for new ways to better serve you. That’s why we are placing more emphasis on funeral pre-planning today. It’s a compassionate and caring way to give the special people in your life a gift of love and peace of mind.

The addition of Brandi to the staff allows us to meet the needs and desires of each family. It allows us to remain flexible as only a family-owned funeral home can.

Please join the staff of R. W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory in welcoming Brandi R. Turner to the family.
