Melean P. Worrell

Melean Powell Worrell, 82, died of Suffolk, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, in Obici Hospital.
Born on March 13, 1922, in Gates County, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Clarence Collins and Essie Gertrude Powell.
Mrs. Worrell was a member of Holy Neck United Church of Christ and the 2nd Bible Class, and had retired from Lipton Tea.
She was an avid gardener and loved to work in her beautiful flowers.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years and 11 months, James Edward Worrell; daughter, Yvonne W. Felton of Great Bridge, and son-in-law, Allen Felton; son, Donald Worrell; his wife, Roseland, of Suffolk; granddaughter, Vicki Alheit, her husband, Guy; grandsons, Jim Felton of Coral Spring, Fla.; Justin Worrell, his wife, Lisa, and Joshua Worrell, and his wife, Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Shea and Sam Alheit; sister, Carrie Kostenski of Sarasota, Fla.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Neck United Church of Christ by the Rev. Dolan A. Talbert with burial in Holland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory.
