Edward Harold Worrell, 83, of Suffolk, died June 4, 2004, at his home.

Born on Aug. 17, 1920, in Hertford County, N.C., he was a son of the late Milton H. and Laura Whitley Worrell, and widower of Annie Wright Baines Worrell.

Mr. Worrell was a retired farmer and a Methodist.

Survivors include his sisters, Nellie Bryant of Newsome; and Ruth Culbertson, Eva Holland, and Alice Barnhill Mansfield, all of Suffolk; brother, George Pope of Courtland; and nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 7 in Buckhorn Baptist Church Cemetery in Hertford, N.C., by the Rev. John F. Shappell.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home and Crematory.
