Valencia D. Coston reigned among 15 contestants as Miss Cotillion 2004. Ashley Hunter was first runner-up, Megan Holland was second runner-up and Tiffany Gillus was third runner-up.
The elegantly presented contest was held June 5 in King’s Fork Elementary School and was sponsored by the Suffolk Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Coston is a senior at Windsor High School, and is the daughter of Marilyn Coston and Ray S. Barnes. Her escort was Michael A. McBride.
The entire program was a grand affair and included special presentations of escorts dancing with contestants, mothers dancing with their daughters’ escorts and fathers dancing with their daughters.
Each contestant was received a scholarship and the winner received a scholarship, crown, flowers, and trophy.
N-tregue, with Michael Carson serving as manager, presented music for the evening.
Vicki Pittman is the sorority president.
