Take advantage of scholarships

Congratulations again to the Suffolk school seniors who have received their diplomas. Just last night, the Nansemond River High School Warriors were presented with their certificates; Lakeland High School Cavaliers were given theirs Monday; and Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints marched toward theirs on Saturday.
Many of them are going on to higher education and a large number of those students will be assisted by scholarships – grants created for the sake of rewarding and encouraging academic achievement.
We want to point out that in today’s edition there are listed several available for students at Paul D. Camp Community College. Further, rising Suffolk school seniors should be researching now for next year. There’s plenty of people and money available to help deserving students achieve their educational and vocational goals.
