V. Leigh Wills Jr., 69 of the 600 block of North Carolina Highway 158 E., Sunbury, N.C., died Monday, June 14, 2004, in Obici Hospital.

Mr. Wills was born in Suffolk, and was a son of the late Victor Leigh Sr. and Claire LeNeve Haynes Wills.

The retired owner of V. Leigh Wills Accounting and Tax Service, he loved in his spare time to refinish old trunks and antique furniture, to collect baseball cards, and to watch the Washington Redskins football games.

He had served in the United States Navy.

Preceded n death by his wife, Carol Tillery Wills, in August 1998, he is survived by his son, Victor Leigh Wills III, and his wife, Karen, of Hendersonville, N.C.; his brother, Alan Wills of Suffolk; and his granddaughter, Kiera Wills.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville. Burial will follow in Town of Conway Cemetery.

Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home and other times at the residence.
