Ada M. Skinner

Mrs. Ada M. Skinner, 94, of 2006 Arizona Ave., Suffolk, died Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation Center. She was born on May 27, 1910, in Chowan County, N.C., to the late Jordan and Betty Freeman.

She was educated in the public schools of North Carolina.

She was married to the late George W. Hall, to which was born six children. In the later

years she married the late Josiah Skinner.

She was a member of Mt. Ararat Christian Church.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph Hall (Susie) and Earl Hall (Deborah), both of Suffolk; four daughters, Lorraine Hardy, Addie Sweat (Otis), Lillie Long, and Betty White (Vernon), all of Suffolk; one sister, Betty Manley of Alabama; one brother-in-law, Ryland Skinner of Suffolk; two sisters-in-law, Annie Cross of Arizona and Mary Skinner of Suffolk; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces , nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mt. Ararat Christian Church, 1860 Airport Road. Interment will be in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery.
