Fonnie Mable Blackburn Sandefur, 71, of 1527 Austin Drive, Suffolk, died Friday, June 25, 2004, in Obici Hospital.

A native of Pike County, Ky., she was the widow of Henry E. Sandefur, and also a daughter of the late Trimble Blackburn and Rebecca Slone Sandefur.

She was a homemaker, and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Chesapeake.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Ruby S. Hatfield and Randy of Suffolk; sons and daughters-in-law, Clifford E. Sandefur Marie, and James T. Sandefur and Georgie, all of Suffolk; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Ada B. Stanley of Williamson, W.Va.

The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Carlton Smith officiating.

Friends may join the family from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Harrell & Hill Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
