The man accused of forcing his way into a Lakeside home last weekend was arrested in Brunswick County Thursday.
Authorities in the rural central Virginia county arrested William James, 33, of Norfolk without incident, said Lt. Debbie George, spokeswoman for the Suffolk Police Department.
Warrants are on file charging Jones with one count of residential burglary, one count of abduction, one count of attempted robbery and one count of attempted murder, George said.
According to police records, Jones broke into a home in the 500 block of Princeton Avenue around 5 p.m. July 18. After making his way into the home by asking the resident for a glass of water, Jones assaulted her and demanded money.
