Long time Suffolk resident Gail Barker is one of 45 speakers at the Virginia Home Education Association’s Homeschool Conference & Curriculum Fair to be held at the Science Museum of Virginia in Richmond on Saturday, Aug. 28,

Barker will lead a session on Avoiding Burnout.

The conference is designed for experienced homeschoolers as well as those new to or considering homeschooling. This is a family friendly conference, with speakers, vendors, and activities for the whole family, including hands-on events hosted by the Science Museum of Virginia.

There will be sessions on getting started, homeschooling teens, hands-on teaching, science instruction, history through storytelling, homeschooling methods, socialization, homeschooling dads, avoiding burnout, and many more.
