Alvain Vane Harden Williams

Mrs. Alvain &uot;Vane&uot; Harden Williams, 57, of 132 Mallard Drive, Suffolk, died July 23, 2004 in Obici Hospital.
She was a native of Boykins. She was the daughter of Robert Harden Sr. of Suffolk and Sadie Barham of Homestead, Pa. She was the stepdaughter of Fannie B. Hicks Harden of Suffolk.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ernest J. Williams Sr. and her son Ernest J. Williams Jr.
She retired from Gwaltney Meat Company of Portsmouth after 20 years. She was a member of Missouri Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish lasting and loving memories with her son Jarmaine E .Williams (Vanessa); daughter Fulissa V. Wilson (Jonathan), all of Suffolk; a stepson Morgan Boykins of Franklin; six sisters, Mary Waters (Roosevelt) of Suffolk, Margie Harden of Baltimore, Md., Thelma-Lee Artis of Homestead, Pa., Priscilla Mills (Dwight), Shirley Massenburg, all of Suffolk, Marie Person (Earl) of Courtland; six brothers: Robert Harden, III (Elaine) of Smithfield, Henry Lee Barham (Linda) of Boykins, Douglas Barham (Paulette) of North Carolina, L.C. Harden Sr., Dennis Harden (Annie) all of Suffolk, Wilbert Drummond of Hampton; six grandchildren; a great host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Two very special long time friends &uot;Rita Hunter&uot; and &uot;Mary Williams.&uot; The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at 1 pm in the New Mount Joy Family Worship Center by Rev. Ronnie Boone. Interment will be held in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, is in charge of arrangements.
