Overturned tractor-trailer delays traffic

Early morning eastbound traffic on the U.S. Route 58 Bypass will be stopped for about 15 minutes this morning while an overturned tractor-trailer is uprighted.
The tractor-trailer loaded with frozen chickens overturned in a wooded area along the highway, near the Wilroy Road exit, around 1:45 a.m. Friday, said Lt. Debbie George, spokeswoman for the Suffolk Police Department.
Details on the accident, including the driver’s identity and injuries, were not available as on late Friday, George said.
Plans to upright the truck on Friday were put on hold due to traffic concerns, said George.
Although the specific time of lane closures wasn’t available, the wrecker will begin working to set the truck up &uot;at first light,&uot; she added.
Before the truck is set up, the chickens in the trailer will have to be loaded onto another truck.
