Mrs. Florine F. Beamon, 82, of the 1200 block of Blythewood Lane, Suffolk, died July 31 at her residence. A native of Franklin, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Tilley Flood, and widower of Robert Beamon.

She was preceded in death by two sons; Robert Beamon, Jr. and James Beamon and also a daughter, Rose Vines.

She was a member of the New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries and retired from Sunkist Peanut Co.

She is survived by four sons John Beamon and wife, Mary of Suffolk; William Beamon of Patterson, NJ, Herbert Beamon and wife, Lanae of Portsmouth, Va, and Reginald Beamon of Suffolk; three daughters Evangelist Cora Powell and husband Pastor Leon Powell of Jamaica, NY; Irene Gray and husband, James of North Carolina and Elsie Hart of Patterson, NJ.

She also has 33 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 5 at 2 pm in New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries by Elder Sylvester Silver. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
