Mrs. Frances Ann Thomas, 40, of 6116 Brookwood Drive, Apartment A-Suffolk, died July 31, 2004 at her residence. She was a native of Nansemond Co. She was a former employee with Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a painter. She is the daughter of Virginia Thomas and Mack Brinkley. Her survivors include her sons Tommy Thomas and Antonio Thomas, both of Suffolk, her daughters Tonia Scott (Alexander ) and Felicia Thomas, both of Suffolk; her sisters Vivian Moore (Dwayne Sr), Margaret Newby, Barbara Joyner (Reuben Jr), and Jennifer Thomas of Suffolk, Mary Thomas of Straw Haven, N.Y., Maxine Miller of Portsmouth; brothers Clifton Thomas (Annette ), Gary Thomas, James Butler and Claude Thomas of Newport News; four grandchildren, host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends and a very special friend William Jones. The funeral service will be held Saturday August 7, 2004 at 2 p.m. in St. Timothy Baptist Church by Elder Alexander Cheatan. Internment will be held in Oaklawn Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home of Suffolk is in charge of arrangements.
