SUFFOLK – Elizabeth &uot;Billie&uot; Hollowell Henderson, 82, died Aug. 3, 2004 in Obici Hospital. She was the wife of the late B.B. Henderson, Jr. Mrs. Henderson was born in Newport News, daughter of the late Warner C. Hollowell and Marie Helmer Hollowell. She was also predeceased by a sister, Dorothy H. Rowe and a brother, Warner &uot;Bud&uot; Hollowell.

Mrs. Henderson 1s survived by two sons, Bert B. Henderson, III, and his wife, Anne, of Suffolk and David B. Henderson and his wife, Chris, of Chesapeake; and four grandsons, Burr Henderson, Pretlow Henderson, Brad Henderson, and Michael Henderson; a great-granddaughter, Taylor Henderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Henderson was a member of the Class of 1939 of Newport News High School, the Junto Woman’s Club, the Laurel Garden Club, and St. John’s Episcopal Church where she served as Treasurer for many years. She was an avid bridge player in several clubs.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 3:30 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Chuckatuck, with the Rev. Nancy Lee Jose officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, on Bridge Road, Suffolk.
