Editor, the News-Herald:

Almost daily, I see letters from people chronically dissatisfied with our town.

I would offer them a bit of unsolicited advice. Do as I did. Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag, travel the world for 50 years and then return home to the discovery that you are living in the most beautiful spot on earth!

I have also learned that we began with Utopia and that each time we’ve tinkered with it in the name of progress, we’ve chipped a bit from the jewel that was our heritage.

Relax and enjoy what God has given us and above all, quit griping! I’m tired of the constant whining. Love it or leave it !
