Forbes thanked for hospitality

We take this opportunity to thank our Congressman J. Randy Forbes for inviting us to Washington D.C. to meet with him to discuss the concerns that we had about Suffolk. He and his staff were very cordial, down to earth, and very much interested in Suffolk, and he promised to do whatever he could do to help.
We were given a complete tour of the congressional building, which afforded us the opportunity to be in the presence of one of the prime ministers. We were then served a delicious lunch in the congressional dining hall where we discussed our problems and concerns. Congressman Forbes said that he would do all he could to get the support that we needed, and he did just that. Our main concerns were the Tidewater Occupational Center benefits and employment, the fairgrounds revitalization, and the museum. We have received funding for these endeavors. We give our thanks to Congressman J. Randy Forbes and his staff, and give the glory to God.
