Susanne McNees Baird, 56, died Sept. 4, 2004.

A native of Suffolk, she was the daughter of Thelma Barton Baird of Suffolk and the late Jack McNees Baird.

Susanne was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church and had worked for several years at Elevare Inc.

Besides her mother, she is survived by a sister, Jackie Baird Burden and her husband Danny of Suffolk; half-brother, Richard M. Barnett of Elliston; two nephews, Danny Raye Burden Jr. of Bowie, Md., and Arthur McNees Burden of Centreville.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004, at 4 p.m. in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory by the Rev. John F. Shappell. Burial will be private.
