The Cavaliers quickly regained possession, and Artis carried on all of his team’s next four plays, the last of which being a 26-yard dash through the right end. He again got the point-after, doubling Lakeland’s lead.

The teams combined for only a single first down on the next five drives, but the Cavaliers got the ball on the Bulldog 20 with five minutes left, and Artis carried for a 19-yard touchdown on the next play.

Josh Meeks threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Matthew Holland for another Cavalier score, and Artis closed out the half by running an interception 20 yards back for a touchdown to close the half ahead 36-0.

Dontarius Boone scored Lakeland’s final touchdown on an eight-yard rush in the third quarter, but Angelo Beale, Aric Dickens and Andre Hunter made history for their school, accounting for the first points in Bulldog history. Beale ran for a seven-yard touchdown, and Hunter threw to Dickens for an extra point.
