On Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004, God, in his infinite wisdom, called to rest Edith M. Alston of Temple Hills, Md.

She was a former member of First Baptist Church Pleasant Hill, Suffolk. She was a 1964 honor graduate of the former East Suffolk High School and an honor graduate at Virginia State University in Petersburg.

She was the daughter of the late David and Mary Riddick Alston of Suffolk.

She leaves to mourn her passing a loving and devoted sister, Effie V. Alston of Temple Hills, Md.; a brother, David Alston and his wife, Carolyn of Suffolk; two daughters, Sashe Berlack and her husband Keith and Tia Allen and her husband Elliott, all of Temple Hills, Md.; five grandchildren; a niece; three nephews; a great aunt, Mrs. Laura Butler, of Chesapeake; and a host of cousins and other relatives.

The funeral service will be held at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004 at Marshall’s Funeral Home, 4308 Suitland Road, Suitland, Md. The family can be reached at (301) 899-3386.
