Mrs. Florence Ruth Kindred, 83, of 3148 Desert Road, Suffolk, Va, died October 31, 2004 in Maryview Medical Center-Portsmouth, Va. She was a native of Nansemond County. She was the daughter of the late John W. Kindred and Maggie Kindred. She was a member of the King’s Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church. She attended Gresham Graded School.

Survivors include one sister, Geneva Darden (Fredrick) of Suffolk, Va, a devoted nephew, Ernest Edwards (Catherine) of Norfolk, Va and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 11 a.m. King’s Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church of Suffolk, Va, by Bishop John H. Kindred. Internment will be held in the King’s Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home-Suffolk is in charge of the arrangements.
