Mrs. Shirley May Artis of Blue Ridge Trail, Windsor, Va., died November 10, 2004 in Obici Memorial Hospital. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling arrangements.

Ophelia Eason

Ophelia Eason, daughter of the late Alexander Britt and Glenie Riddick Britt, was born on November 3, 1909 in Tyner, NC (Chowan County). The Lord called her home on November 8, 2004 at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Howard Eason of Suffolk and Calvin Robinson of Georgia; two daughters Lalia Twine on Norfolk and Idella Boone of New York; 24 grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2004 at Greater 1st Baptist Orlando Church at 1 p.m. with viewing on Friday, November 12, 2004 from noon to 7 p.m. The wake service is from 6 to 7 p.m. at T. E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home with the Interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Suffolk. T. E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home in charge.
