Suffolk man charged for abandoning ATV on train tracks

A Suffolk man is being blamed for causing a train accident around 8 p.m. Thursday.
Jason Winslow, 23, of Turlington Road is being charged with trespassing on railroad property after a train struck his four-wheel ATV on the tracks in the 500 block of Kenyon Road, said Sgt. Michael McKenzie, spokesman for the Suffolk Police Department.
Winslow was not at the scene of the incident. However, emergency crews, unaware if the driver had been hit, spent nearly an hour searching the area around the tracks.

McKenzie. &uot;They found no indication of anyone having been injured,&uot; he added
Police filed the charge against Winslow later Thursday.
