Published 12:00 am Friday, November 26, 2004

While sugar plums are dancing in the West End neighborhood, Santa will be charting his course for Suffolk.

He will be arriving at 6:30 p.m. today on West Washington and Wellons Streets to meet all children, naughty and nice.

Santa will join The Women’s Foundation of Suffolk and the West End Civic League in the annual tree lighting on the square.

A 24′ tree will don the space and be decorated by the West End Civic League members.

Santa will receive wish lists from the children of Suffolk, and hand out sweet treats prior to returning to the North Pole to check on gift production.

It has been rumored that Suffolk has a large number of good children this year so he decided to come meet them for himself.

Santa and the West End Civic League will be on hand from 6 to 8 p.m. at the green space for cider, hot chocolate and caroling.
