Missing the Monday, Dec. 6 deadline adds up to a 10 percent penalty.

According to officials in the treasurer’s office, lines have been moving steady without the traditional long wait associated with decals in February. Monday will likely produce longer lines.

Residents who can’t make it to city hall can pay from home via computer or telephone using a Mastercard, VISA, Discover, or American Express credit card. A convenience fee will be added. To pay on the Internet, go to www.suffolk.va.us/trsr, or call 1-888-272-9829.
