Flossie H. Ward

Flossie Hall Ward of the 700 block of Dutch Road, Suffolk, died Dec. 16, 2004 at her residence. A native of Nansemond County, she was the daughter of the late Tony and Fannie Collins Hall and the widow of Freddie Ward. She formerly resided in New York City where she was employed as a beautician for 40 years and retired in 1976.

She was a member of El Bethel Holiness Church, New York City where she served as an usher and was a Sunday School teacher and bible class leader.

She is survived by a son, Sanville D. Ward and his wife, Tammy of North Carolina; a sister, Carrie H. Yates of Suffolk; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two nephews, Joseph P. Hall and Timothy Hall; two nieces, Carvell Holland, and Tunisia Hill; a host of other great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 20, at 1 p.m. in St. Matthew Holiness Church by Bishop Madison G. Copeland. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, is handling arrangements.
