Don’t judge homeless

Editor, the News-Herald:

My name is DeeDee. I am 16 years old. I am one of the children who was evicted from the homeless shelter. I feel that I should be able to say something.

I would like to thank everyone who has helped us out and sent us donations. I appreciate that very much. My mother’s name is Holly Parker, and she is the best mother I could ever wish for. Nobody knows the situation or why the families were in the shelter. Everybody wants to judge because of what they read in the newspapers.

From day one, my mom has made sure that we have had a roof over our head, clothes on us, and food in our body. It may not have been the best roof, but it was a roof. I don’t believe anybody should be put in jail. I believe that our mothers should be given another chance to give us a better life. Our mothers are trying to provide a good life. So please stop being the judge if you don’t know the judged.
