Ella Williams

Ella Williams, daughter of the late Oscar Hoffler and Eleanor Hurdle Hoffler, was born on March 20, 1928. She departed into eternal rest on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004 at her residence. She was predeceased by her husband, Romie N. Williams, Sr.

She attended public school in Chowan County, N.C. She was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church. She was one employed by Obici Hospital as a Dietary Aide and later pursued her work experience with the Department of Social Service as a senior service aide.

She leaves to cherish her fondest memories: one son, Romie Williams, Jr. of the home; two sister-in-law, Edith Ray of Raleigh, N.C. and Cleo Hoffler of Hobbsville, N.C.; a host of nieces, nephews, other cousins, relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held on Monday, Dec. 27, 2004 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 28,2004 at Metropolitan Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Park.
