Alvin Frederick Pauli, of Richmond, died Dec. 8, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jean Lassiter Pauli; two daughters, Mary Ellen Pauli and her husband, Timothy Dunham Smith of Richmond and Karen Margaret Pauli Wells and her husband, Gregory Lee Wells; four grandchildren, Tyler Johnston Pauli Smith and Sarah Elizabeth Pauli Smith of Richmond and Carter Lee Wells and Anne Randolph Wells of Charlottesville.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Bliley Funeral Homes’ Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church at Forest Avenue. The Interment will be in Westhampton Memorial Park, Richmond. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Alvin Frederick Pauli Scholarship Fund at Thomas Jefferson High School, 9 Maxwell Road, Richmond, Va. 23226.
