Winefred Taylor Gatling Reid. 81, of Gates, NC, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Cordie and Vanzola Taylor, and the wife of the late Charlie &uot;Joe&uot; Gatling and Wallace Reid.

She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Williams or Durham, NC and Belinda Banks of Goldsboro, NC; four sons, Charles Reid of Chesapeake, Michael Reid of Alexandria, Barry Reid of Carrolton and Darrell Reid of Herndon; two sister-in-laws, Evelyn Eason and Essie Lawton; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005 at St. John A.M.E. Zion Church in Sunbury, NC.
