Willia Gay &uot;Billie&uot; Brown, 74, of Richmond, widow of James L. Brown Sr., died Jan. 7, 2005. She is survived by her son, James L. Brown Jr. and his wife Belinda; two grandchildren, Jason E. and Jared W. Brown; sisters, Sue Underwood and Julia Bell Benton of Suffolk. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jacqueline Evans.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. The Interment will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery in Suffolk at 2 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society.
