Laura Bertha Emory Vick

Laura Bertha Emory Vick, 85, of the 100 block of Oakdale Terrace, passed away on Jan. 16, 2005.
A native of Surry County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Everett and Essie Tamer Scarborough Emory and the widow of James Albert Vick.
Mrs. Vick was a homemaker and attended Trinity Christian Church.
She will be sadly missed by her two sons, James R. (Randy) Vick of Suffolk, and Albert Brian Vick of Richmond; four grandchildren, James Clifton Vick, Duncan Emory Vick, Emily Dunning Vick and E. Maxine Mizelle; three sisters, Charlotte E. Bain of Carrollton, &uot;Celia&uot; Eleanor E. Parsons of Franklin, and Dorothy E. Murzynski of Newark, Del. and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of Harrell & Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Byron McCreary officiating.
Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may join the family this evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
