Keith Josey had his 17th double-double with 18 points and 18 rebounds as Nansemond River defeated Western Branch 46-41 on Friday. Lakeland fell 67-49 to Deep Creek and King’s Fork 65-25 to Indian River.
In girls action, King’s Fork nearly pulled off the city’s biggest victory in recent memory, taking Indian River to a 68-62 overtime scare. Ransheda Jennings scored 19 points for the Bulldogs, Latora King 18 and Sharde Brown 12. Lakeland’s and Nansemond’s girls fell.
