Moniquea Danielle Gilchrist, 24, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Feb. 7, 2005 in Orange Park Medical Center in Florida. She was a native of Suffolk.

She graduated from Kellam High School in Virginia Beach. She was a member of Faith House of Refuge Ministries, its choirs and first leader of Faith House No. 3 Praise Dancers in Jacksonville. She was employed at Bell South.

She is survived by her mother, Apostle LaVerne J. Shaw (Bishop Richard C. Shaw) and her father, Mr. Donald Gilchrist (Angela); daughter, Kamya Danielle Brown of Jacksonville; beloved fianc\u00E9, Kenny Brown of Jacksonville; three sisters, Missionary Donna Brown (Alexis) and Lakeshia Jefferson of Suffolk, Tamara Hines of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Pastor Darrish Gilchrist (Chevell) of Jacksonville, Donald Gilchrist Jr. and Breon Porter of Suffolk; grandparents, Mrs. Helena Joyner and Mrs. Susanna Gilchrist, both of Suffolk, Elder and Evangelist Powell of Virginia Beach and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005 in New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries by Bishop Richard C. Shaw of Faith House of Refuge Ministries. Interment will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church at 11:30 a.m. The family will be at the home of Bishop Richard C. and Apostle Laverne J. Shaw, 1849 Chestwood Drive, Virginia Beach. Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, is handling the arrangements.
