Editor, the News-Herald:
I am Freddie J. Wiggins, president of the Suffolk Substitute Teachers Association. To Dr. Liverman,
Vice-Chairman Perkinson, members of Suffolk City School Board, fellow citizens of Suffolk, good evening.
The association members and I have watched carefully as plans have been set forth for our school system. Plans for the new construction and renovation of present facilities are all designed to make sure that our students are ready for the new millennium. It’s good to be part of the progress that is unfolding in our educational system.
To ensure that the excellent quality of education continues, kindly include $100 per day for substitute teachers. It will go a long way towards making this a reality.
Freddie J. Wiggins
President, Suffolk Teachers Association
