Welton Lee &uot;Butch&uot; Williams, 51, of the 400 block of Fulcher St., died Feb. 14, 2005 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Mr. Williams was a native of Suffolk, the son of the late Johnny Williams Sr. and Virginia Williams. He was a member of Rising St. James Holiness Church and was also a member of the male chorus.

He graduated from the John F. Kennedy High School class of 1967. He was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Williams.

Survivors, besides his mother, are two sisters, Martina W. Beale of Suffolk and Margaret Williams of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, Johnny Williams Jr. and Steve G. Williams, both of Suffolk.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19 in Rising St. James Holiness Church with Bishop Dwight Whitfield officiating.

The interment will follow in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Wyatt and Sons Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. the day of the service. At noon, family and friends will assemble at the home for the procession.
