Elizabeth L. Ralph

Elizabeth Leary Ralph, 91, of 200 W. Constance Road, and formerly of Corapeake died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005 in the Nansemond Pointe Center.

Mrs. Ralph was born in Chowan County, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Herbert Lee and Annie Perry Leary. A homemaker, she was a member of Eureka Baptist Church, the Ida K. Brinkley Sunday School Class, the W.M.U. and the Young at Heart Senior Citizens Group. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Aubrey Ralph; two brothers, Trot and Lewis Leary and her daughter-in-law, Ann Overman Ralph.

Surviving are three daughters, Betty Rountree and husband Frank of Hobbsville, N.C., Ruth Ann Felton and husband, Larry, and Mary Winslow and her husband, Jay, all of Suffolk; a son, Bobby L. Ralph of Suffolk; two sisters, Bonnie Nixon of Hertford and Lottie Ann Hobbs of Sunbury; two brothers, Herbert Leary of Reidsville, N.C., and Douglas Leary of Wake Forest, N.C.; eight grandchildren, Frankie Carr and husband, Randy, Terri Riddick and husband, J. B., Michele Warren and husband Michael, Wendy Blausey and husband, Art, Jeff Felton and wife Allison, Jon Felton, Les Rountree and wife, Amanda and Anna Bondurant and husband, Walton; nine great-grandchildren, Dillon and Austin Warren, Brooklyne Carr, Gage and Hayden Riddick, Blake Rountree, Haley Felton, Lexi Bondurant and Conner Blausey, two step-great grandchildren, Tiffany and Clifford Carr; and a special niece, Lou Ann Turner and husband Coochie.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in Eureka Baptist Church by the Rev. Cameron Currin.

The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, and all other times at the home of Mary and Jay Winslow, 2521 Whaleyville Blvd., Suffolk.
