Suspects arrested in drive-by shooting

Two people have been arrested and charged with Tuesday’s drive-by shooting on Berkshire Boulevard.
Preston Dwayne Hilliard, 23, of the 100 block of Church Street and a 17-year-old youth were charged in the incident that injured a resident of the Kings Landing subdivision, said Lt. Debbie George, spokeswoman for the Suffolk Police Department.
Hilliard was charged with malicious wounding and two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony, George said.
The teenager was charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, shooting from a vehicle, destruction of property and possession of a firearm by a juvenile.
The victim, Ignacio Nova, 18, was shot in the calf during the incident, George said. He was treated and released from Obici Hospital.
