Samuel A. Chilton Jr.

Samuel Agusta Chilton, Jr., 76, of the 900 block of McArthur Dr. died Tuesday, March
1, 2005 and went to be with his Lord.
Mr. Chilton was a native of Suffolk, the son of the late Samuel A. Chilton Sr. and Nellie J. Chilton.
He was also predeceased by his granddaughter, April Nellanne Stuart.
He was a graduate of Suffolk High School, a staff sergeant in the U. S. Air force during the Korean War, and the retired owner of Chilton Radiator Service from 1965 to 1995.
He was a member and Deacon of Wilroy Baptist Church and Seekers Sunday School Class.
He was a former teacher of the Junior Boys and Youth Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years,
Martha L. Chilton; his children, Kathy Anne Chilton and fianc\u00E9, Melvin R. Lewis, Kay Chilton Gunnell and husband, Johnny R. Gunnell, Kenneth A. Chilton and wife, Cathy L. Chilton; grandchildren, Hunter Thomas Stuart, Jason Michael Baines, Brandon D. Gunnell, Jessica A. Gunnell, Heidi N. Lewis, Macey A. Lewis and Myra A. Lewis.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m.
Friday at Wilroy Baptist Church with Rev. Carter Dey officiating.
The burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Wilroy Baptist Church from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and other times at the residence.
Memorial contributions may be made to the April N. Stuart Scholarship Fund, Currituck Co. High School, 4203 Caratoke Highway, Barco, N.C. 27917.
