James Paul Morris Sr., 73, of Suffolk, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005.

A native of Carrsville and the son of the late Grace Dunning Morris Nelson and William Claude Morris, he retired from Kincaid’s Machine Company.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Mary Anne Mayo Morris of Chesapeake; sons and daughter-in-laws, James Paul Morris Jr. and wife, Pamela J. Morris, and Henry A. Morris, all of Franklin; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sisters, Grover J. Barrett of Williamsburg, Susie M. McClenny of Jacksonville, and Edna M. Jernigan of Smithfield; brother, John B. Nelson of Jacksonville; nine stepchildren and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 7 with the Rev. Keith Lewis officiating. The burial will be held in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Chapel.
